To ensure the smoothest possible production of your project please follow these simple guidelines when placing an order.

You can send us your files via or on a disc. If possible it is best to send files compressed to avoid corruption in transit over the web.

When ordering Foil stamping, Embossing, Debossing, Letterpress & Die Cutting please note the following:

All artwork must be at 100%
All artwork for dies should be Vector format with no screens.
Convert type to outlines if possible to eliminate font issues
Diecutting die lines should be created as a .25 (.003”) point line
If die cutting is to be performed in conjunction with other finishing processes create an overprinting spot color for the die line that does not print on the other print layers.
Avoid using fine lines under 1pt. for foil and under 2pt. for embossing
If supplying pre-printed products for Hawk to foil stamp all ink and varnish must be wax-free

If supplying pre-printed sheets for folding and gluing all glue areas must be free of ink and varnish. All glue tabs must be a minimum of ¾” of an inch.
All supplied press sheets must come with a minimum of 5/8” gripper and side guide margins, we prefer ¾”-1” if possible and a minimum of ¼” of paper margin on the opposite two sides. If this cannot be achieved consult with us first before printing.
All gutters between die cut pieces should be a minimum of ¼” if this cannot be achieved consult with us first before printing.
